We are a Faith Village made up of common, inconsistent, broken, messed up people.
We recognize that following the way of Your Son is anything but a straight line.
We want to live out the complicated, perplexing, disorderly, sloppy, chaotic,
authentic faith in the real world.
Show us, in the mess of our busyness, how to live for You.
Teach us, in the mess of our hardships, that You are there with us.
Grow us in our joys to love You more.
Until You come again or call us home,
guide us through our messy spirituality
and draw us ever closer to You.

Bon Iver wanted to show me that it is okay to cry when you are sad. He squeezed his eyes shut and his face was marked by sorrow. Moments later, his eyes were wet. He shuddered. ‘Bon Iver,’ I said, and placed a hand on his bare chest to calm him, ‘what made you so suddenly sad?’
He choked and wiped his eyes. ‘Deforestation,’ he whispered.
